Sterling silver handmade setting, sterling silver post/backing and raw/rough woolly mammoth ivory. I wanted to showcase what the mammoth tusk looks like from the outside, in! The earrings, when looking at them head on, show the rough, darker shades of ivory. The side view shows the multiple layers of ivory changing to the lighter, creamy color. The bottom and top of these pieces showcase the schreger lines (crisscrossing patterns) that are unique to mammoth ivory! Show stoppers, ice breakers and truly some epoch studs.
